Machakos University Ajira Digital Club is a student-driven initiative committed to equipping students with essential digital skills and connecting them to online work opportunities. By providing training, mentorship, and networking opportunities, the club empowers members to build sustainable digital careers while fostering innovation and collaboration. CLUB HISTORY

Established in 2022, the Machakos University Ajira Digital Club was formed in response to the increasing demand for digital skills and remote work opportunities among students. Recognizing the potential of the Ajira Digital Program, a group of visionary students took the initiative to create a structured platform where members could access training and mentorship. Over time, the club has grown into a vibrant community, training hundreds of students, many of whom are now successfully earning a living through freelancing on platforms like Upwork and Remotasks. Through continuous learning and collaboration, the club remains dedicated to shaping the future of digital professionals.

MEET THE PIONEERS OF THE CLUB

The Machakos University Ajira Digital Club was founded by visionary students who saw the potential of digital skills in transforming lives. Led by Paul N. Ndungu, the club’s Chairperson and an Evergreen Trainer, and Brian O. Otwoma, the Organizing Secretary and a dedicated mentor, these pioneers took the bold step of creating a platform where students could learn, connect, and earn through online work. Their journey began with curiosity and a drive to empower fellow students. Through mentorship, hands-on training, and collaboration, they have helped hundreds of students gain digital skills, access freelancing opportunities, and achieve financial independence. Brian O. Otwoma

Organizing Secretary

Brian O. Otwoma is a pioneer and the Organizing Secretary of the Machakos University Ajira Digital Club, dedicated to empowering students with digital skills and online work opportunities. As a digital skills trainer and mentor, he has played a crucial role in guiding many young people toward financial independence through platforms like Upwork and Remotasks.
